The class was undertaken by the China Energy Engineering Group Co (CEEC), with the support of the Economic and Commercial Office of the Chinese Embassy in Uzbekistan and the Uzbekistan Chinese-funded Enterprise Chamber of Commerce.
On the same day, Guo Xuejun, deputy manager of CEEC's Uzi Gas Turbine Department, started the first training session, sharing with TSTU students Chinese technology and solutions.
The CEEC also signed a memorandum of cooperation with TSTU on strengthening school-enterprise cooperation, improving vocational education and training, and promoting Sino-Uzbek cultural exchanges.
As the vice-chairman unit of the Uzbekistan Chinese-funded Enterprise Chamber of Commerce, the CEEC has striven to contribute wisdom and strength to China-Uzbekistan industrial cooperation, economic and trade exchanges and people-to-people bonds under the guidance of the Belt and Road Initiative and Uzbekistan's new national development strategy (2022–26).
The Luban Workshop project, named after the ancient Chinese renowned structural engineer Lu Ban (c. 507-444 BC), has become a platform for international exchanges and cooperation in vocational education. As of now, the workshop has taken root in 19 countries and regions across Asia, Africa and Europe.
