Binhai New Area: A Great Place to Live

Binhai New Area, Tianjin, has over 480 schools, including universities, secondary schools, primary schools and kindergartens, with 308,000 students enrolled. Educational expenditure accounts for about 15 percent of total government spending in Binhai. 

The area is home to quality higher education facilities such as Tianjin University of Science and Technology and Tianjin Juilliard School. The TEDA Football Stadium was the first FIFA-certified professional football stadium in China and serves as the home ground for the Tianjin Jinmen Tiger FC. Annual events include dragon boat races, marathons, beach volleyball and the China Chess Open.

Binhai has more than 50 public medical institutions, including10 national-grade hospitals and 45 community health service centers and public health institutions. 

It has a ratio of 5.3 hospital beds and 3.6 physicians per 1,000 people, and 3.39 nurses per 1,000 people. TEDA International Cardiovascular Hospital has successfully performed "HeartCon" implantation surgeries on more than 50 heart failure patients, bringing them new life.

In collaboration with Peking University Health Science Center, Peking University Binhai Hospital has advanced medical projects in critical care medicine and orthopedics, reaching a leading level in China.

Binhai has numerous cultural facilities, including libraries, art galleries and museums, as well as large performance venues and art troupes. The Dagukou Fort Ruins Museum, the old site of Tanggu South Station, the Ruins of Beiyang Navy Daku Dockyard and the old site of the Yellow Sea Chemical Industry Research Society are all part of the China National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit. 

Binhai receives over 25 million visitors annually. The "Seaside Living Festival" has become a well-known cultural tourism brand in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. Binhai Library, National Marine Museum, Chow Tai Fook Financial Center, Binhai TEDA Aircraft Carrier Theme Park, Dongjiang Bay Beach and Tianjin Haichang Polar Ocean Park have become popular attractions.
