SSTEC and Keppel EaaS have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Strategic Partnership to Design and Implement Scalable and Future-Proof Sustainable Smart Energy-As-A-Service and Operation Projects in China-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City, to design and implement scalable, future-proof sustainable Smart "Energy-as-a-Service" (EaaS) and operational projects in the eco-city.

This collaboration harnesses the combined expertise, technology, and resources of both China and Singapore to accelerate the deployment of "EaaS" solutions across the eco-city's buildings and developments. The partnership will focus on energy efficiency management, solar photovoltaic systems, thermal energy storage, electric vehicle charging infrastructure, and district heating and cooling systems.

As part of the collaboration, Keppel EaaS will deploy a rooftop photovoltaic system at the China-Singapore Smart Manufacturing Park, which is operated by SSTEC. The system can reduce the electricity cost and carbon emissions of the park, as well as lower the operating costs for enterprises in the park.

SSTEC also signed Tianjin's First CapitaLand Bridge+ Flexible Workspace Project Strategic Collaboration Memorandum of Understanding with CapitaLand Development (China). Bridge+ is a flexible and innovative brand belonging to CapitaLand. It will establish a shared workplace Bridge+ LOUNGE at the eco-city's low-carbon living lab, which is operated by SSTEC.

Both parties will also work together on various aspects, such as business model innovation, market expansion and brand cooperation, sustainability collaboration, community building and resource sharing, as well as customized services.

This is CapitaLand Bridge+'s first project in Tianjin. Subsequently, the China-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City Bridge+ LOUNGE will be simultaneously displayed on the CapitaLand Bridge+ platform to connect broader commercial cooperation.

The MoUs were signed at the Invest in Tianjin Promotion Conference held in Singapore, which was organized by the Tianjin Municipal People's Government and China's embassy in Singapore.

The conference aims to strengthen exchanges and cooperation between Tianjin and Singaporean enterprises. Representatives from the governments, enterprises and institutions of China and Singapore attended the conference.
