Print PrintTianjin Dongjiang Comprehensive Bonded Zone is located in the northeast part of Tianjin Port. This peninsula, formed by land reclamation and surrounded by sea on three sides, covers an area of 31.9 square kilometers, including a 10-square-kilometer customs special supervision area ) and boasts a 28-kilometer coastline . The State Council approved the establishment of Dongjiang Bonded Port Zone in August 2006 and in April 2015, the entire area was incorporated into the Tianjin Pilot Free Trade Zone. In 2020, the State Council upgraded the area to a comprehensive bonded zone, which has been recognized as a national "Double A" comprehensive bonded zone in the customs assessment for two consecutive years.
As of the end of 2022, Dongjiang was home to 18,000 enterprises, with a registered capital of 1.6 trillion yuan. It has developed three major advantageous sectors: financial leasing, port economy (including trade, shipping services, supply chain finance), and platform economy, making it the second-largest aircraft leasing hub in the world.
Dongjiang boasts numerous tourism and cultural resources.The Tianjin International Cruise Home Port, located on the southern coastline, is the largest cruise home port in northern China. The largest artificial beach in northern China attracts many sailing and beach sports enthusiasts. The multifunctional Dongjiangpinhai Park has become a popular spot for visitors to enjoy and get close to the sea.
The Dongjiang International Art Center provides services for artists' accommodation, creation, and exchange, catering to the spiritual needs of cultural and artistic appreciation and communication. Dongjiang’s pleasant natural and cultural environment attracts many tourists. Supporting facilities such as talent apartments, schools, imported goods supermarkets, and financial centers are also being improved.
The port area includes one community neighborhood committee, which has been designated as a municipal-level healthy community and a district-level civilized community. This committee manages five residential neighborhoods with a population of 4,000 residents.
