The Tianjin Binhai New Area has planned the industrial layout, and accelerated the construction to fully implement Tianjin's "twin towns" development strategy with the goal to create a livable, business-friendly and beautiful city.

This year, the China-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City plans to implement 606 key construction projects that focus on new energy, sponge city and smart management system of infrastructure. 

Recently the Eco-City new energy vehicle project which has a planned production capacity of 200,000 vehicles has made preliminary preparations. After the completion of the project, the total number of employees will reach 2,500, and the annual income is expected to be 50 billion yuan ($7.8 billion), which will also drive the aggregation of upstream and downstream industries. 

At present, the first phase of the project workshop has been done. It is expected that the first new car will be put into production in June this year.

Urban rail transit is part of the city's "twin towns" development scheme. As the important rail network of Binhai New Area, the total length of Line B1, Line Z4 and Line Z2 is 126 kilometers. At present, the construction of these three lines has all kicked off.

After the completion of the three lines, they will effectively connect the key areas of Binhai New Area and Binhai International Airport, Binhai Railway Station, Binhaixi Railway Station and other major transportation hubs, further facilitating regional integration.

In order to reduce the impact of the epidemic on economic development, the Binhai New Area Administration for Market Regulation has launched 30 measures to provide convenient services during the pandemic. 

The products required by medical supplies manufacturing enterprises are approved immediately after application, and the point-to-point service of short messages is opened.
