Tianjin's Baodi district has leveraged the strategy of advancing coordinated development in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, focusing on creating a model area for industrial and urban integration between Beijing and Tianjin. This effort has led to significant achievements in developing new productive forces.

Baodi Beijing-Tianjin Zhongguancun Science Town was the first major investment project by Zhongguancun outside Beijing. The district has prioritized the science town to deepen its cooperative connections with Beijing, the Zhongguancun Management Committee and the Zhongguancun Development Group.

By closely collaborating with Zhongguancun's scientific and technological resources, Baodi plays an important role in transforming and industrializing technological achievements.

On one hand, it strives to boost the technology service industry. Leveraging platforms like Peking University Science Park, the district has introduced 203 services launched by Beijing's Zhongguancun in Science Town, including two major service systems for intellectual property and concept verification from Zhongguancun. It also enhances the town’s coordination with key local laboratories,  industry chains and talents to foster a favorable ecosystem for enterprises.

On the other hand, it focuses on promoting the transformation of scientific and technological achievements. Baodi acts as a bridge for cooperation between enterprises and Beijing's universities and research institutes, establishing platforms such as national-level technology business incubators.

Baodi provides supporting infrastructure for Beijing's industrial upgrading, creating a synergistic effect within the industrial chain. For instance, focusing on complete vehicle enterprises such as Beijing Benz, Xiaomi and Li Auto, Baodi is developing an automotive parts industry chain that includes vehicle control systems, body parts, and automatic painting equipment.

It enhances community infrastructure with parks, camping bases, libraries, and restaurants. It is also accelerating the development of new smart scenarios like intelligent networking and smart energy. Notably, Baodi has facilitated the opening of the city's first intelligent connected vehicle demonstration route.
