On July 20, the excursion of being “Immersed in Tianjin along the Haihe River” was officially launched, featuring extensive online promotion.
Reporters and KOLs have embarked on a tour along the Haihe River, the mother river of Tianjin, where historical and modern buildings blend seamlessly along the banks. Cruising the river not only provides picturesque landscapes but also helps uncover the city's rich history and captivating stories.
The first destination of the interview group was the Sino-Russian style street project, located at the intersection of Six Latitude Road and Eleven Longitude Road, in Hedong district.
Walking along the Zhonghai Russian-style street, one could immediately sense the strong influence in the architecture. The street showcased Russian-style spires, an exquisite combination of bronze Russian dolls, music, art, and included Star Avenue that featured historical Russian figures. Being the first Russian-style street in Tianjin, it exuded vibrancy and uniqueness, boasting a distinctive culture and style.
The tour group then visited Tianjin Mianshan Creative Zone, an architectural complex made of red bricks situated on the east bank of the Haihe River, which has also become a popular destination for tourists. Previously known as Tianjin No.3 Cotton Mill, this place has a history spanning over 100 years. With multiple cultural heritages, traditional folk customs, creative industries, and a variety of popular food stalls, the zone has emerged as a new highlight in Tianjin's cultural and tourism industry.
Further down the river they discovered the Tianjin Juilliard School, the only overseas branch of the New York-based Juilliard School. Its large campus consists of four multi facade venues, including a 690 seat concert hall, a 299 seat concert hall, a 225 seat black box theater, as well as administrative section, and rehearsal spaces. Five cantilever skywalks span the wide-open public space, blending into the surrounding scenery.
To conclude, there are still even more wonders to be explored along the Haihe river, which not only safeguards the city’s history but also mirrors its development.
