Tianjin's Binhai New Area unveiled three lists of its top 100 private enterprises in 2022, in terms of sales revenue, taxation and special contributions, at a meeting on February 25.
It was the second time for Binhai New Area to release such rankings. The rankings provide important indicators and references to follow the economic development of the new area.
The threshold for the top 100 private enterprises' sales revenue in the list came in at 2.87 billion yuan ($412.6 million), up 930 million yuan from a year earlier. Their overall sales revenue grew by 61.2 percent on a yearly basis to 968.3 billion yuan in 2022.
There were 29 enterprises on the list in 2022 whose annual sales revenue surpassed 10 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 93.3 percent. Their total sales revenue hit 622.89 billion yuan, accounting for 64 percent of the total number of enterprises on the list.
Meanwhile, the threshold for top 100 private enterprises' taxation in 2022 was 880 million yuan , rising 69 percent year-on-year. Their total taxation registered an annual growth of 22.17 percent to 33.89 billion .
Last year, the number of enterprises with an annual taxation above 500 million yuan was 14, and they jointly contributed to 47.2 percent of the total taxation of ranking enterprises.
In addition, the list of the top 100 private enterprises with special contributions comprised of 40 companies featuring sci-tech innovation, another 40 involved in strategic emerging sectors, and 20 reputed for their integrity building.
