The 10th Chinese National Games for Persons with Disabilities recently came to an end with the Tianjin team winning a total of 106 gold medals.

This year, the Tianjin team outdid itself in terms of the number of gold medals, competitors, projects and overall results. In particular, the gold medal tally is the highest ever.

At a press conference, Li Guifeng, the deputy director of the Tianjin Administration of Sport, said "All competitions have finished and we have 1599 gold medals awarded in all kinds of events. Two hundred and fifty-three competitors broke 124 national records and 67 athletes set 35 world records. In the period of the games, 178 teams and more than 1,000 players won prizes and 1,232 referees, more than 7,500 volunteers and other staff contributed to the Games. Holding the Games has won the recognition of the China Disabled Persons' Federation, and the General Administration of Sport of China. It has also drawn a high level of interest in the Games from the general public.”
